THE BIBLE

Because we believe that the Bible is the Word of God, Bible preaching and teaching is at the centre of everything we do. The heart of worship is Bible preaching. The heart of fellowship is Bible teaching. Spreading the message of the Bible is the goal of our every endeavour at The Pastors' College. Our view is that what the Bible says, God says, without error. We believe this is the historic Christian view of the Bible and that such a view of the Bible is taught by Jesus Christ and His apostles. We believe that the plain meaning of Scripture is the meaning intended by God, and that Scripture is its own interpreter. We believe that the goal of Scripture is to lead us to faith in Christ, in Whom alone is eternal life.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

 In common with many Baptist churches and organizations around the world, our beliefs are reflected in the London Baptist Confession of 1689. We strongly affirm the Reformation principles of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. In brief, we believe that there is one God in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that God is the Creator and Ruler of everything that exists anywhere; that God controls all that comes to pass everywhere; that God will judge this world when Jesus returns; that heaven and hell are real places where human beings will spend eternity; that the entire human race fell away from God when the first man Adam rebelled against God; that to everyone who believes that the man Jesus is the Son of God, God freely offers complete forgiveness of sins and unending fellowship with Him beyond death; that all who say they believe Jesus died for their sins and rose from the dead must obey Him and forsake evil.
